"Earth Day" Blog Hop ....Lets go Green

We are celebrating "Earth Day" here at Michelle Perkett's Studios

We were to create a card from recylced elements it also had to contain the color green.... I had lots of fun trying to think up what I could use....Here is what I came up with, hope you like it!!

The flowers are made of used dryer sheets that I  colored with ink..... I used a piece of tshirt cardboard for the card itself and also for the other cardboard elements ....... I then put them throught the Cuttle Bug and embossed....The birthday greeting is from an old birthday card..... the yellow and green paper are left over papers from another project. Michelle Perkett challenge #26

Watermarks

I have been trying to figure out how all these wonderful Crafters put watermarks on there beautiful cards. Well I found out how to do it the easy way....Just go and buy a watermark from this very nice person....Karen Giron Here....Then just follow the easy instructions she gives you. Easy peasszy...really really easy....She has some really nice watermarks. Check out my new watermark.... I just love it ....Thanks so much Karen.

This digital stamp is from Isabella's Sketchbook...I just love this simple stamp in fact I have made several cards using this stamp for different occasions. You can get this digital stamp from Here it is called the  "Watering Can Garden". She has beautiful Digital stamps

I found another artist who's digital stamps are so beautiful .....These are some of the cards I made during my Easter Break using one of Isabella's fish stamps I was inspire to make these cards from  seeing them on The Wired Angels blog Here. I used micro beads on some of their faces and dimesional glue on another .......I used Japanese papers from my . You can get this digital stamp HERE.

I hope you enjoy what I made....... I had such fun during my week off ........I got to play and color alot.

This one I call my watermelon fish ....I did'nt mean for it to look like this but I still think it turn out quite nice.

This one I used clear micro beads on its face ....I dont know if you can see it very well but it is just beautiful in person.

More Easter Break projects

Just a quick post I wanted to share a couple of cards I made using Michelle Perkett's digital stamps . This one you can get Here she is called The Amore Fairy.

This is another cute digital stamp ...I merged two stamps together and came up with this...I think they turned out sooooo cute. I colored these with my Prisma Pencils and Gamasol....Again I use Cosmo Cricket Papers..... I think they have become one of my favorite companies for paper

Sassy Cheryl's

Here is another digital image from Sassy Cheryl's ....isn't she cute ...I think  she is playing Happy Birthday on her bagpipes and wishing you a Happy one. You can buy her Here All the papers are from Cosmo Cricket...I used  my copic and triart markers to color her in.The punches are from sizzix dies.

Sassy Cherly's

I had such a wonderful Easter Break ......I got to play ..play..and more play. So I made quite a few cards .... I will  share them with you all in the coming days.

The first one I would like to share is an image from Sassy Cherly's she has so many cute and funny digital stamps.... you can get them at her Online store Here .Be sure to go and visit her. The paper I used was a combination of Cosmo Crickett...DCVW... and paper I have had for quite sometime...flowers and button were things I have in my stash and I don't recall from where.

I have been coloring with a mixture of Copics and Triart markers and I have to say that I am loving both brands. I like the Triart because it has a bullet point that I can get into small spaces and the colors blend really well ... they also blend with copics.Triart only has a limited number of colors but I really like them alot.

Challenge #24

This was the next challenge for the DT it was to use Pearls ...Lace and your go to colors.

Well I came up with two different cards one with Paper Lace and the other with Real Lace ...... I love to use the color blue and orange......... so I made two cards with the same image one in blues and greens and the other in orange and yellows.......... you can get this digital image over at Michelle's etsy store here. It is called a "Princess for a Day" Isn't she so cute. Three D image

I found this cute image at this Etsy store here on this site called Piddix... And I used a tutorial that I found on you tube here
The paper I used was paper that I have had for long time. I did get a new Martha Stewart punch this past weekend...Its so cute with those little rabbits in the grass
and I also used one of her punches to make the flower This was lots of fun to do.You really have to be careful of the placement when you put it together ...The rabbits ears are a little off...Oh well it still looks cute ..And I'm sure the recipient will love it.

Michelle Perkett Challenge #21

This challenge was for us to use handmade Flowers and to use stitching on the card ....... have Springtime colors. The image I chose to use this time is one of Michelle's newest. Just in time for Easter...

Aren't they the cutest bunnies ...You can get them at her Etsy shop here.The Flowers were made by using Ek success punches and some sizzix dies. The grass is Martha Stewart's icicle punch. I weaved the basket with strips of card stock and then sewed them to the card. I am having so much fun coloring Michelle's images......go and check out her out on PCP

Michelle Perkett Recipe Challenge

DT Challenge 18 at Michelle Perkett Studios

Hi Everyone

This is my DT card for challenge #18 over at Michelle Perketts.We were to make a side step card with Spring Colors. Isn't this the cutest birthday fairy!!! She is the Magical Birthday Sprite

I used K and Company DP for all the of the card. The digital image is printed on Gina K paper and colored with alcohol markers. I made the flower with a Martha Stewart Punch...The leaves are a sizzix die cut...I used an Ek sucess corner punch...The images are from Michelle Perkett Studios including the sentiment, You can get these images over here

Her images are the cutest and are very fun to color ......... the ladies in her group at papercraft planet are so nice.Check them out you will just love them all and Michelle is so involved with her group.

Michelle Perkett Challenge number 16
